Do you play tennis or golf a couple of times a week? Do you warm up before playing? Do you take the time to cool down and stretch after playing, or are you just sitting for a few hours?
If you aren’t stretching after a practice or match, you really should!
Benefits of stretching:
Decrease the risk of injuries
Help your joints move through their full range of motion
Increased muscle blood flow
Enable the muscles to work effectively
Improve your ability to do daily activities
Often, I see individuals not taking enough time to work on their mobility, which will, unfortunately, catch up and lead to an injury or some chronic ache or pain. You should NOT be in pain constantly. If you give your body the right amount of active recovery work, you will be able to feel better faster.
