How do I stay up to date with ANCHOR life + fitness’s events and programs? When you join the ANCHOR family as a full-time member, you will automatically be added to our email list to receive our weekly newsletter, “Under the Bar,” plus our monthly calendar of events, information on special pop-up classes, tips of the month and more. Also, next time you are in the gym for a class, don’t forget to check out the dry-erase board in the main training space, which has important dates listed for upcoming events and programs as well. Last but not least, stay in the know by following us on Facebook or Instagram.
-
How do I sign up for classes? You can register for any of our ANCHOR life + fitness classes through the free Mindbody App on your mobile device. Instructions for how to use the Mindbody App are available on our Schedule page. You can also view our complete schedule of classes and sign up through our website.

How many times should I plan to attend ANCHOR Fit Strength and Active Recovery classes each week?Well, as much as we’d love to see you all the time, we know you have your best life to live outside the gym. Our coaches will work with you to develop a program that takes into account your schedule, current activity level, and health and fitness goals to help you achieve real, sustainable results.
-
Do you offer massage therapy? You bet! At ANCHOR, we don’t just want you to be physically stronger. We want you also to be strong mentally and emotionally so you can enjoy all of the things that life has to offer. We encourage you to incorporate active recovery and wellness practices into your health and fitness routine for optimal health results. To schedule a massage with our Licensed Massage Therapist, Dominick Martino, give us a call at 610-444-5433 or stop by the front desk.
-
Do you offer Reiki?Yes, yes we do. Reiki, a Japanese form of energy healing, is available to enhance your health and fitness routine. Reiki helps with stress release, healing, and relaxation to support the overall well-being of the mind and body. You may schedule your session with our Reiki Master, Nicky Webber, by calling us at 610-444-5433 or stopping by the front desk.

What can I expect when participating in an ANCHOR Fit class? Each day of the week has a different focus for the “main movement” or theme. For example: Wednesday is a bench press focus day (and the variations for bench) but all of our ANCHOR Fit classes provide a full body workout that includes strength, cardio and mobility. Our coaches are there to guide you, support you and help you find the right progression of the movement that suits where you are in your journey.
-
Do I have to sign up for a year-long commitment? No way! We offer month-to-month memberships to give you the flexibility you need. If you do need to cancel your membership for any reason, we do require a completed membership cancellation form 30 days in advance to finalize your membership cancellation.
-
What kind of yoga classes do you offer? Our Active Recovery program helps to restore balance and functionality to the body and mind. Our offering includes five kinds of yoga–Foundations, Stability, Vinyasa, Restorative, Yin Yoga–and Indian Clubs, Foam Rolling, Deep Stretch, and Movement and Mobility classes.
-
What if I can’t do some of the exercises or am dealing with an injury? The best part of working with us is we can meet you where you are at. We provide variations of movements and can work around any injury. We have even had members come to us following physical therapy treatment and we work collaboratively with their therapists to develop the best program possible to keep our members safe while still improving their overall health and fitness.
-
Do you have classes for beginners?Whether you are a seasoned athlete or have never touched a weight before in your life, we are here to help meet you where you are at. We love educating our community and teaching you how to properly do the movements so that you activate your muscles in the right areas. We love teaching and coaching and all of our classes have variations for all the movements to suit a beginner or someone that may have been with us for 7+ years.
-
What if I’ve never used kettlebells before? That’s okay! The kettlebell is a tool and not our only tool or identity. We love to teach movement and movement patterns. First, we do so by teaching you how to move your body the right way, using bodyweight movements only so that you learn how to breathe correctly within those movements. Then, we progress using the basic kettlebell movements first (squat and deadlifts). From there, we expand your individualized fitness program based on your goals, health history and comfort.
-
Does your facility have showers?Yes! The bathrooms in our beautifully-designed space come stocked with towels and amenities so you can shower after your training session and get back to the grind in no time.
-
How quickly can I expect to see progress?Well, that depends. Joining ANCHOR is just one factor in your health and fitness journey. Decisions that you make outside of the gym will impact your results. This includes everything from stress level to sleep quality, eating nutrient dense food, and staying consistent with all of these factors. But you have a secret weapon–your ANCHOR coaches–who are with you every step of the way to support you so that you can achieve your goals.
-
I want to start eating better. Do you help with nutrition? We absolutely do. Our in-house Nutritional Therapy Practitioner will guide you using a bio-individual approach to understand what foods and nutrients you need to best support balance and function and find the root cause for any symptoms you may be experiencing.
-
What is your class cancellation policy? We know life gets hectic sometimes, and despite your best effort to get to the gym, there will be times when you need to cancel or reschedule your training session. We just ask that you cancel a minimum of 2 hours before any ANCHOR Fit Strength and Active Recovery classes as a courtesy to your coaches and fellow members who may be on the waitlist or may not be able to get into a full class. For any cancellations within the 2 hour window, there is a $10 late fee or loss of that session. (Please note that Small Group Training Sessions and Personal Training appointments must be canceled at least 12 hours in advance to avoid a loss of that session.)
-
What kind of shoes should I wear?No shoes? Yes, service! We have a No Shoe Policy at ANCHOR life + fitness. We train with socks or bare feet to help strengthen the muscles of the feet and ankles and give better feedback to the rest of your body as you move. So please remove your shoes before you walk into the training areas and let those piggies loose.
-
Can I drop-in for a class?Sorry, but since we only take a limited number of members per class, we ask everyone to sign up for classes in advance. Signing up in advance saves your spot and allows you to check for any updates, such as being waitlisted or, in the rare case, that we must cancel or reschedule a class for unforeseen circumstances. It also allows our ANCHOR coaches to plan ahead if they know you are coming so they will be prepared to work with you during class. It’s a win-win for everyone!
-
What kind of membership options do you offer?Founded on the basic principle that there is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all program, our membership options allow you to choose what works best for you, your schedule, and your health and fitness goals. Throw in our best-in-class coaches, supportive community, and kick-ass member experience, and we’d say that’s one heck of a value.
