I recently came across this old NIKE commercial, promoting barefoot running for their FREE line of shoes (do they even make or sell them anymore?!)
Like many of you, my feet were destroyed from years of wearing tight cleats that cramped and squished my toes.
If you were someone who has squished your foot into a cleat growing up or high-heeled shoes, then I’m sure you have some discomfort (maybe some bunions) or other foot issues. You may be lacking some foot strength and mobility which could be affecting your other joints in the body.
What can you do to help improve your feet?
First, start spending some more time walking around barefoot. Start gradually in the house and then get comfortable walking outside in bare feet.
Next, grab some toe spacers and wear those around the house.
Third, your feet most likely will need to be strengthened or mobilized depending on the issue. Each person is different and there are a lot of factors to consider. If you are interested in getting a program together specifically for you, get in touch and I’d be happy to help.
